my inspired story

In My Own Words…
At fifteen years of age, I knew I wanted a career advocating for seniors. At that time there were a number of seniors that I cared about, including my grandmother, elderly neighbors, and the seniors I spoke to at my first job.
I have devoted my education and professional career to advancing the well-being of seniors. I earned a Bachelor of Health Science degree in Health Services Management concentrating in long term care from Western Illinois University, and Master of Social Work degree in Gerontology from Loyola University Chicago; both with the goal of improving the senior care industry. My professional career includes a number of companies and roles within senior living.
My husband Nick and I are residents of Norridge, which means we’re neighbors! We love our tiny dog, a Yorkshire Terrier named Benny. I am looking forward to introducing Benny to all my new friends at CBV! My favorite hobbies include spending time with my five nephews, scrapbooking, singing, and hiking. In 2014 I founded a nonprofit called “One Dream” that fulfills dreams to impoverished seniors in the Chicagoland area.
Central Baptist Village is a home away from home. I am blessed to work closely with our wonderful residents, family members, and a dedicated interdisciplinary team of individuals passionate about serving a deserving and growing segment of our population. It is my goal to use compassion, creativity, and leadership each day to enrich the lives of CBV’s residents. I plan to help our residents achieve their highest level of physical, mental and psychosocial well- being to maximize their independence and dignity.
