In My Own Words…
I’m a lifelong Chicagoan and grew up on the Northwest side, proudly rooting for the Cubs and the Bears. Although I had a different career path in mind at the end of high school, my direction changed during college when I felt a clear calling to pastoral ministry. That shift began a meaningful 40-year journey of serving others alongside my wonderful wife, 3 children, and 4 grandchildren.
I’ve had the privilege of serving in pastoral positions across urban, rural, and suburban communities. Being with people has always energized and inspired me, whether celebrating life’s joyful milestones or walking alongside them in moments of challenge, crisis, and loss.
My connection to Central Baptist Village stretches back more than 20 years through family members and former church members who were residents here. Those relationships gave me a deep appreciation for this community long before I ever joined it. It is an honor to serve as Chaplain, supporting CBV’s residents, families, and employees.
