In My Own Words…
Since my early teens I have always felt the need to help others. When I was in school I became passionate about working with seniors; I appreciate them for their wisdom, resilience and the gratitude they have for life. I remember the day when my friend asked me to help her with home visits for seniors who lived alone and struggled with daily chores. That moment changed my life forever. Nothing helps you to understand more about what’s important in life than seeing others face struggles you do not. Since that time I have devoted my professional career to caring for seniors. Being a friend and a confidant, and relieving the worry over something they are unable to do feels highly rewarding. It’s a great accomplishment knowing that I have turned what could have been a really difficult day into a great one, full of laughter and fun activities.
I am very grateful I chose this career path, and I’m proud to be a part of this wonderful and caring CBV community.
